The Road to "Welly" aka Wellington, NZ

Loading up the car for the 6 hour trip to Welly... Sam, the dog, chewing on his leg.

A fond farewell to David, General Manager of Peppers on the Point, Lake Rotorua, Peppers on the Point. Thanks again to David and his team for a wonderful time.

Girls heading to the Lake Taupo beach on their Razr's and backpackers on the bench.
 So many outdoor activities here.

Snow capped mountains in the Tongariro National Park..

Taking a drive break at an old cemetary outside of Hunterville

Diner "USA 66 on NZ 1"...as you can see from the flag it was very windy.

Front of the diner..

On to Wellington, racing to beat the large storm coming in, high winds, hail...want to be cozy in our room at the  Intercontinental Wellington before it starts.

  1. Hope you made it to Welly before the storm hit. Loving the pictures. Why are we not surprised that you would stop at a cemetery. Interesting pics on the way. Diner looked like fun. Keep the pics and details coming and stay safe. We love you...
