(Cool ) Day 1, Part 2, Scene 011110...sort of...


Taking the path to the City, we came upon the historical Bolton Street Memorial park. Diane was surprised and delighted...




So many young ones lost..so sad but a lovely memorial...




beautiful places for eternal rest...

Sexton's Cottage built in 1857 by Charles Mills for the Church of England, thought to be the oldest house in Wellington. Located on the Memorial Park grounds next to the Chapel.

We then walked a few blocks to find...

the office workers buzzing around the unmissable modernist "BEEHIVE" government building.
 Love it or not, it is the architectural symbol of the city.

Adjacent to the "BEEHIVE" is the Parliament House, completed in 1922.

Next a Teaparty is involved...
